Foundation
The Credit Union Foundation now represents the charitable work of credit unions in both Colorado and Wyoming. With assets close to $900,000, our Foundation serves our credit union movement by promoting financial literacy and serving the underserved in our community.
The Foundation’s programs include disaster relief, academic scholarships for members to pursue higher education, scholarships to support the professional development of credit union employees and volunteers, and grants to nonprofit organizations and credit unions that provide for a variety of innovative programs to ensure financial stability for all persons.
While both Colorado and Wyoming will share in the administrative and operating expenses of the Foundation, fundraising and grant making activities will remain exclusive to each state’s programs. Under this structure, the Foundation will increase its impact and reach throughout Colorado and Wyoming.
Because of the generosity of credit unions, business partners, and individuals, the Foundation has disbursed more than $600,000 in our community since its inception in 1982.
